Buried Treasure

Recently, a friend shared a funny photo on Facebook, which reminded me of a book that was a childhood favourite of mine. I went looking for the book, and found it packed away in a box where it has been hidden for the best part of seven years. It’s ‘Mouse Tails’ by Margaret J. Miller (pub. 1967), about two mice who have all sorts of dangerous adventures together (some involving a sweetshop and a very large cat). It had me in fits of laughter as a kid. So I googled the author and found out the same Margaret J. Miller is now a quilt maker and designer in the States. She has a website showcasing her designs and advertising her teaching schedule. An interesting coincidence!

A childhood favourite

Author: Janice

Married to a very lucky man (he sometimes agrees), I'm learning to be a better wife, homemaker, & step-mum to two adult children and their other halves. I enjoy thinking, writing, nature, travelling, reading, photography and other creative pursuits, and spending time with friends & family (not necessarily in that order). I work part-time with children & their families. I have too much stuff (working on that) and am not a morning person... that about covers it for now.
